Interarms ppk 380 spring direction
I do have a mark on my thumb from the frist time i shot it you cant use an over the hand grip with it or the slide will smack you good. I did see s&w came out with one was thinking of purchasing a newer version i like smith's products never had issues with them at all. The american made interarms had issues back in the 80's that were the stainless verisons. i went to gun parts since its about 1 hour drive from me picked up the part replaced it shoots like a dream again. I have shot over 15k rounds over the years though it (mostly reloaded 95gr lead round nose or 95gr fmj). never had a problem with it unitl last year where the sear broke. I purchased a used intearms ppk/s in 380 back in the late 80's it was a west german made 70's model.
Was interested in a PPK but a guy at the range last night told me his jams alot and he has been told that PPK's just jam ofter. PPS (police pistol slim) which might not look like a PPK but is the same size and is a 9mm (9x19).it will hold anything from 6-8 rounds depending on the Mag you use (3 different mags come with the PPS) and I am sure that it will be reliable as the P99 in a much lighter and smaler package. Now what I can tell you is that Walther is coming out with a new slimg gun in a few months. Somebody said once that the new S&W PPK's are made to such tight tolerance, one should at least shoot 500 rounds before even talking about reliability. you will find that most people complain about the finish (sharp edges) of the S&W PPK's rather than the jamming. or go to the and check there in the PP/PPK section of the Forum.
but you might want to read some on the Walther section of G-talk. 22lr PP so I can not give you any personal insight. I think it all boils down to ammo and recoil spring.I only have a. which should not show any signs of jamming at all
