The Golden Rams have in fact won the Dixon Trophy five of the last seven times it has been handed out since the 2012-13 campaign. West Chester has won the Dixon Trophy five times, including the last two times it has been awarded consecutively (20). On the men's side, Men's Soccer led the way with 12 points for a quarterfinal finish while football posted 10.5 and golf 10 points each.

Women's Cross Country picked up six points. Both Women's Soccer and Women's Volleyball received 13 points for their quarterfinal finish in the postseason tournament. Field Hockey earned the most points with 16 for its second-place showing. Those numbers averaged out to 11.19, placing the Golden Rams fourth. West Chester's women's programs averaged 12 points while the men's programs averaged 10.38. The second-through last-place values vary depending on the number of teams that sponsor the sport. Equal to its total membership, each conference sport champion is awarded 18 points and a descending point value is given for respective place finishes. The Dixon Trophy is awarded at the end of each academic year to the league's most successful program based on conference playoff and/or regular-season finish. Standings are compiled based on average score for all PSAC Championship sports each school sponsors. Millersville and Lock Haven are each tied for eighth with 10 points. Slippery Rock is seventh with 10.14 points. Kutztown is fifth (11.08) with Shippensburg sixth at 10.79 points.
